18 Senior Advocates Of Nigeria Appointed For 2013

Out of the 44 legal practitioners earlier invited for interview, the Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee LPPC on Friday, approved the appointment of 18 new Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SAN), for the year 2013.
The secretary of the Committee, who doubles as the Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court, Sunday Olorundahunsi, said at a press conference that out of the successful candidates, 16 are legal practitioners while one is an academic and one is a private prosecutor.
Those who made the list are:

Adele Eberechi;
Olumide Sofowora;
Olufunke Aboyade (This Day's Law Page Editor);
Uko Udom;
Anthony Ani;
Godwin Obla;
Suraj Sa’eda;
Anthony Anaenugwu;
Joe Abrahams;
Akinlolu Kehinde;
Biriyai Dambo;
Chukwuma-Machukwu Eme;
Olalekan Yusuf;
Moyosore Onigbanjo;
Aliyu Abdullahi; and
Victoria Awomolo; and
the private prosecutor of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s (EFCC), Godwin Odumu Obla.
Professor Lawrence Atsegbua of the Faculty of Law,University of Benin is the only academic who made the list.
